Outline Of Supervision Service

 

What is Clinical Supervision?

​

A professional, collaborative process that helps individuals reflect on their practice, develop professionally, and maintain ethical and cultural awareness. It provides a safe space to explore challenges, successes, and professional growth. Sessions can be one-on-one or in groups and are guided by a supervision contract agreed upon by both supervisor and supervisee.

The Purpose of Clinical Supervision:

​

  1. Formative – Skill-building and professional development.

  2. Normative – Ensuring accountability, quality, and standards of practice.

  3. Supportive – Offering encouragement, validation, and emotional support.

 

Who is it for?

  • New and experienced staff.

  • Safeguarding Leads & Deputy Safeguarding Leads.

  • Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Teaching Assistants.

  • Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs).

 

How and Where is it Delivered?

  • Online via Zoom (individual or group).

  • In-person at the workplace (for group sessions, if requested).

  • Tailored to the communication styles of each supervisee.

 

Focus Areas:

  • Reflecting on casework.

  • Enhancing professional practice.

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking.

  • Setting targets and boundaries.

  • Managing emotions and maintaining wellbeing.

  • Processing challenges and concerns.

 

Frequency and Duration:

  • Monthly, half-termly, or termly sessions.

  • Typically 45–60 minutes per session.

  • Twilight sessions available (4:30–6:30pm).

 

Cost

  • £70 per hourly session.
