About Me..

Professional Profile
I am a safeguarding and education specialist with 28 years of dedicated service in child welfare, child protection, and family services. My career has been driven by a commitment to ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and educational success of children and young people, particularly in complex urban settings.
As a Clinical Supervisor approved by The Association for Psychological Therapies (APT), I provide reflective supervision to practitioners alongside my core safeguarding and training work.
In my role as Child Protection and Family Services Manager for a federation of inner London schools, I have led cross-agency safeguarding initiatives in close partnership with police, social care, and education welfare services. My leadership has directly contributed to reducing persistent absence (PA), improving attendance outcomes, and aligning practice with both local and national standards.
I am a passionate advocate for bespoke training and regularly design and deliver tailored programs that strengthen safeguarding culture across schools. My experience as a staff governor has further enabled me to influence strategic planning, statutory policy development, and school improvement in line with DfE and Ofsted expectations.
Additional expertise includes:
-
LA conferences, core groups and strategy meetings to ensure robust implementation of child protection plans.
-
Leading Early Intervention Foundation hubs, focusing on preventative action for vulnerable families.
-
Providing borough-to-borough safeguarding support aligned with Ofsted and DfE benchmarks for outstanding practice.
-
Contributing to safeguarding partnerships with organisations such as Catherine Rushforth & Associates and Beehive Safeguarding Ltd.
I am proud that every Ofsted inspection I have been involved in has resulted in an ‘Outstanding’ judgment for safeguarding.
